Welcome to the official website for the City of Como, Texas. Como is a town where everyone knows their neighbors. The town may be small but the hearts of those who live here are big.

Como is an incorporated community on East Caney Creek at the junction of State Highway 11 and Farm Road 69, on the Louisiana and Arkansas Railway eight miles southeast of Sulphur Springs in southeastern Hopkins County.

As of 1990 only four incorporated towns existed in Hopkins County: Sulphur Springs (population 14,062), Como (563), Cumby (571), and Tira (237). Public road mileage in Hopkins County grew from 100 miles of paved road in 1939 to 1,334 miles of roads in 1984. The county is crossed from virtually all directions by state and federal highways.

Currently Como has a population of over 700. Although the city is small, there are numerous established businesses located here. In addition to those businesses, there are many family owned farms and dairies.
